The Most Popular School in the World

Investor Michael Burry’s greatest trade was being on the right side for 2008’s housing bubble. He’s portrayed by Christian Bale in The Big Short.

He was one of the few.

The problem with investing lessons, or entrepreneurship lessons, or life lessons is how infrequently they work. There’s no single answer to learn.

“No school could teach someone how to be a great investor,” Burry wrote, “If it were true, it’d be the most popular school in the world, with an impossibly high tuition. So it must not be true.”

There’s no school for entrepreneurship either.

There’s no perfect system.

There’s no silver bullet, magic wand, or golden goose.

There’s only improvement.
